Well, at least now I have a script to read them when they call. Wait, turnabout is still fair play, correct?

What goes around...
College is simply coming back to what it was 40-50 years ago, a place for the wealthier folks' kids to hang out before going to inherited jobs. The only blip in that time period was the GI Bill's effect on allowing a certain group's previous exclusion.

So now, we are even less like the Europeans. We have incredibly expensive health care and college costs.

And, remind me please, our quality of life is better, how?

I think you'll find that the reason colleges are so much more expensive is actually the same reason why our much more powerful computers don't make us more productive:

All the gains have gone in increased bureaucracy and in complying with increased and pointless regulation.

At least these are sensible factorial numbers. Not like prices of items. All this .99 crap. I wish we could eliminate that practise altogether. Who are we fooling?

Personally I'm in awe of Benford's Law.....

....which I find logical, elegant, counterintuitive and downright eerie.
